The Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education (THCGME) Program provides grant funding to support primary care residency training in community-based outpatient clinics. Its goal is to train medical residents to deliver high-quality care in underserved and rural areas while developing the skills needed to serve diverse populations.

Eligible applicants include current THCGME funding recipients under previous awards (HRSA-22-105 and HRSA-22-139) that operate accredited residency programs or consortia in one of the following areas: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine-Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, General Dentistry, Pediatric Dentistry, or Geriatrics. These recipients must continue to meet the eligibility requirements to qualify for continued funding. Programs that no longer meet these criteria will be disqualified from funding under this opportunity.
